The definition of prejudice is a preconceived notion of someone or something not based on reason or experience. A few prejudices I can think of are thinking that because I am a girl, pink would be my favorite color, and another one would be seeing a stranger reading a book and assuming they were a nerd. These are lighter examples, but there are many different types out in the world. There is prejudice based on someone's skin color, gender, and age. The best way to combat prejudice is to not assume anything of a person, especially if you don't know them very well, and to always be kind.

Yes I completly agree. I like how you brought prejudice in sexism into this. There are loads of examples from both genders of this happening.

Liking a certain color is a great example, especially when we are younger it is seen as pink being a girl color and blue being a boy color when that's not true at all.

Prejudice to me means that through one bad experience, a person will automatically hold a grudge against a group of something or people because of that one negative past experience. The world today has a large group of people who are prejudice to certain races. This is where contention and arguments arise between people today. To eliminate this problem we as a society needs to get off our phones, specifically off of apps including Facebook and Twitter. These apps are harmful and do nothing but cause problems in our society. The more we are on them, the angrier we get and the more hatred we feel. We should talk to people more in real life then through a screen where you don't see how harmful words stick.

I agree that social media has caused a lot more prejudice in our society today and we need to fix that.

I agree that being on our phones makes us angry, and that it is better to talk to people face to face rather than over text.

I agree that apps and social media can cause prejudice, but I also believe they can help as well. We can use social media for good to share the truth to those who may be far away and never get the chance to experience the truth based on their location/environment.

When I think of Prejudice I think of people getting treated differently because of their background. An example is how a man might be treated differently in the military than a woman would be, or a girl would be treated differently in a beauty shop than a man. Do stop this we could stop making pre-judgements about someone based on their gender.

Bringing up how people behave to other people in the military is a great example of prejudice.

When I hear the word prejudice I think of people treating others unfairly. Some examples include others' race, gender, nationality, religion, or even someones' social status. People who are prejudiced usually have some sort of controversy so any topic and treat another person badly because of it. One way of combating prejudice is to teach the younger generation to accept all people and not judge everyone by what they see on the outside. We can have training programs for these younger kids.

When prejudice comes to mind I think of how people have a pre-opinion about something before even knowing it. For example, calling someone a dumb blonde, or only nerds that wear glasses. What could be done to prevent prejudice is to not judge a book by its cover, to know the person before you say something.

When I hear the word prejudice I think of people having a preconceived opinion about a group of things or people. One example of this in the world is the notion dumb blondes. Being blonde doesn't make you more intelligent or stupid but it was still believed that blondes are dumb. People will believe these notions until you prove them wrong so I believe exposure will help. Throw someone into a group of a few blondes and show them that they aren't all dumb.

When I first her the word "prejudice" I think of someone's opinion that is not based actual reasoning. There are so many different types of prejudice that we face in todays society like, racism, sexism, nationality, etc. To prevent more prejudice in our society today we could have more perspective conversations with each other. Instead of getting frustrated with people who don't have the same perspectives on the world as you, we could have calm conversations with each other discussing both sides of the conversation.

When I hear the word prejudice I think about things social media and movies have started like "dumb blond", glasses means nerd, playing instruments means your a band nerd things like that. To combat this we can keep an open mind when meeting people especially if we have never met them before.

When I hear the word prejudice I think of a person who categorizes a person by how they look. Someone who judges before they know who they are. Some examples are stereotypes like if a person wears glasses they must be smart or the "dumb blonde" stereotype. To fix such problems it would probably be helpful to spend less time on phones and stay more in the present.

When I think of prejudice I think of a saying or dislike against a certain religion, race, or a particular group of people. Some different types of this in the world are gender, height, weight, and religion. What can be done to combat prejudice is to keep your thoughts to yourself and to understand how people are different and that not everybody believes in the same things as you do.

I agree that to fight prejudice we need to remember that everyone is their own being. We might have the same mannerisms as others but we all have separate worlds, identities, and opinions.

There are many different prejudices of todays world. One of the biggest ones I can think of is feminism. When someone thinks of feminism, they might think of the empowerment of woman. To an extent, and in most cases, this is correct. It is not only the empowerment of woman, however. Feminism is the advocacy for the equality of both genders.

Racism. The word prejudice is an interesting word, there are many different types of prejudice: prejudice towards religion ex. Christians and Islamic people; prejudice towards other races ex. white people and black people. Universal prejudice towards Jewish people. Lots of prejudice everywhere. Acceptance is the key to removing this prejudice. No matter what your beliefs are, or what your skin tone is, you just have to accept that everyone is different, and you have to be chill about it.

When I think of Prejudice, I typically think of people in leadership positions assuming people for what the really aren't. This can be racism, Sexism, and even some types of Brain defects. For example the term "Brain defects" this term assumes that an entire group of people are "defects" When in reality their brain just works in different facets. Depending on their diagnosis people often exceed expectations.

When I hear the word prejudice I think of it as a belief about a person or group based on a stereotype. Racism and sexism are huge prejudices that exist in today's world. To help combat prejudices we could use a little more critical thinking to really analyze the situation and the person you are judging.
