Discuss a time you experienced jealousy. How did it make you feel? How did you respond?

There was this one time that a very close friend of mine grew out a beard. I cannot grow a beard. I convinced him that it looks better clean shaven, so now every time I tell him its getting a little long, or that he should probably shave, he does it without hesitation.

My best friend found a coin from 1945. It was really cool, I was so jealus that this shiny (not really) penny wasnt mine. It made me feel sad. So I bribed his dad to sneak into his room and give me that wonderful penny. Misson acomplished.

A time that I've gotten jealous was seeing other artist thrive and improve on their skill. I don't like seeing myself not improving, so when I see others improve it makes me a little jealous.

When I moved to Couer d'Alene I had a boy friend who was super funny and social but he had friends with other girls. I saw him talking to this girl and he seemed to have fun with her and it made me really jealous for some reason. It made me feel annoyed and slightly angry. My response was to just brush it off as he has other friends and that's ok.

I don't ever remember being jealous. I guess I am satisfied with what I have, and I don't need anything else. I don't know what I would feel, but I think i would feel anger, and frustration. I would probably respond to it in a positive manner or not express it at all.

A time that I got jealous was when my sister and I had to share a horse to move cows once, so instead of riding double we just decided to split the time. I rode after lunch, and she rode before. The problem with that is that the most fun happens when you are just getting started, and by the time we are done with lunch the cows know what is going on and where to go, so its more like just walking slowly behind the stragglers than actually riding. I was pissed that she got to go first, especially since she was younger than me. I thought that my seniority should have given me the choice of when to ride. However, I decided to bring a peddle bike and drive alongside the horses and guys behind the cowboys. We still have pictures of our family up at North Fork, with four people on four horses and then one little girl (I was probably around 8 at the time) on a junky, spraypainted bike.

I was always jealous of Mykala last year because she understood geometry extremely well while I was and am stupid at it. It made me feel like a dunce. I didn't respond negatively towards Mykala since the only reason I am friends with her is because she helps me with math. I however responded negatively towards myself but now I am in peace with the fact that I am stupid at math.

One time we were at our cousins house for Thanksgiving and anytime our family asked my parents how the kids were doing they would only talk and my sister in college and kinda forgot about the others that were in highschool. In a way it just kinda felt like since we were in highschool we had nothing exciting going on in our lives at that time. I just kinda shook it off and just accepted that yeah college students do have a lot bigger adentures going on in there lives becuase, that is a new chapter of there lives.

A vivid memory I have of experiencing jealousy was when we lost to Flathead in the state championship game last year. I was jealous of the team and program they had built and their ability to win state two years in a row. It made me feel like I hadn't performed to my highest ability and I started to compare myself to their players. I became really upset and angry at everyone because I was so upset with myself and my performance.

I was once jealous when I was heading to school but saw my cat sleeping, knowing she would be able to sleep all day and I couldn't. I was pretty sad. I thought that once I got home that I could sleep. I responded by leaving my cat so she could sleep peacefully.

A time i experienced jealousy was when one of the other flyers on the cheer team got an important stunt in the dance. This made me feel like I wasn't good enough but I was proud of her for getting such a big role so i accepted my role in the dance.

I experienced jealousy when my brother got an electric drum set as an early Christmas present and my parents wouldn't get me an electric guitar. It made me feel angry and upset. I wasn't mad I just gave them more gift ideas.

I don't think I have really fully been jealous of anything. Maybe when my brothers get to do something and I'm gone or busy. It makes you wish you were there at the time instead of being busy but you can't really control it so you just have to deal with missing out and try to be there next time.

I get jealous at Lucile's expertise in English and her creative mind. All last her when I was struggling for five plus hours to write an essay Lucile would do it in 30 minutes. I often complained to Lucile about my lack of skill but didn't bully her for her competence. Today I have realized that I will never compare to Lucile but I will just use her to write better essays.
