I remember that when I was younger I believed in the tooth fairy. When I found out that he/she wasn't real I felt really disappointed. It's important to research things before you go and believe someone because a lot of people will lie about things that they may believe are true but really aren't.
I don't think the tooth fairy would be a guy but other than that it was a really good point that someone could be lying even though they don't know it.
I felt disappointed too when that happened to me.
It's true you should always get facts before you fully believe someone
I remember when I found out that Santa wasn't real and I was really upset. It's important to research information because if people tell you false information then you will share false information and it makes you look bad and you don't feel that great because you shared info that wasn't true
It can make you look stupid if you say something is true.
I was in shock when I found out that the tooth fairy was my mom and my dad. I felt so bad that I saved up all my money for a year and gave it to my perants at Christmas. I think it is very important to research before blindly following a fact. It can ruin you in the end.
That is cool. I would have just kept all the money.
That's really nice if you to return the money you got from your parents
That is so sweet Devon! Little kids are so generous sometimes and I'm sure they appreciated it! Also I bet they will tell that story for a long time. It's so sad when you find out that something isn't real though.
One good example was Brian Williams. He was the only news anchor I would watch. He said that he was in a helicopter that was shot down in the Iraq war. I thought he would never lie so it made me sad. I think more people should have fact checked him. If you don't fact check it, they have lots of control over you.
That's a greet point, people tell you lies to control you.
I agree, people that lie just want to control you
When I was really young a kid said that he had dolphins in his back yard, and I believed him. When I found that he didn't I was upset and disappointed. It's important because you can't believe everything your told. You need to find for yourself if it't true.
I agree that you can't believe everything you're told. People don't always tell the truth sadly. That's sad that he didn't have dolphins. Poor MC.
Indeed, find out for your self. Will you travel to the North Pole with me to see if we can find Santa?
Dolphins in your back yard would be awesome!
It was when I found out santa wasn't real and I was what the heck it was so wierd. It is important to reasearch stuff because it could be really bad or harmful to you
That's true, you can be seriously hurt from being lied to.
I went into deep depression when I found Santa wasn't real
When I was little I thought the teepees out at the Sacajawea Center were the real teepees they lived in until my mom told me they weren't.. and little Hailey was rather upset
I remember thinking the same thing 😂. When I found out they weren't I was really mad that someone had lied to me.
I used to believe in santa clause. When I figured out he wasn't real I was devastated. I felt like my mom had lied to me my whole life, we had to have a really long talk😂 I think it's important to research everything before your believe it so you're not living your life going to wrong direction. I mean what if people thought being drunk was a good thing I'm pretty sure most surgerys wouldn't go extremely well....
If being drunk was a good think, surgeries would definitely not go well and people wouldn't get surgeries very often.
I was very upset as well when I found out santa wasn't real
Fairies. I swore on my stuffed bear that they were real. For a very long time. I even wrote letters to the tooth fairy. When I figured out that the handwriting on the letters I got back was eerily similar to Santa's, I got strangely suspicious..... What someone tells you something, they might not have been sure themselves. Be sure to actually research it yourself and learn the facts.
So you and your wise little 9 year old self compared the penmanship of Santa and the tooth fairy😂 I can only imagine how upset you were
Poor stuffed bear😭What happens to him now?
When I was little, like most little kids do, I believed that wherever we lived was kind of the center of the world and of course that I was the center of attention. When I got older and we moved multiple times I began to realize how huge the world really is and it blew my mind. It is important to research information before believing something someone tells you because people tend to tell whatever will best suit their purposes, whether it's the truth or not. I think as you get older you have to learn to be more skeptical.
I agree, you do have to be more skeptical as you grow because people can easily twist a fact and turn it into the lie.
Skepticism come with age :)
I remember when I was younger I used to think my brothers were so healthy and I wanted to be just like them but then I found out that one of them smokes and the other one chews. I was really bummed because they had lied to me.
Yeah that would be really disappointing, that happened to me with my grandpas but I feel that would be a lot worse with your brothers.
Aaww... this is so sad.
I was realllyyyy disappointed when I found out what puff the magic dragon was actually about. I grew up with the book about the dragon who was the imaginary friend of little jacky Paper and singing the song in school during choir. When I found what it was actually about, it was heart breaking, because it was a song from my childhood. It is important to research something because it saves a lot of misunderstanding.
Aww that's disappointing.
I remember being upstairs helping my grandma with Easter stuff for my family and she randomly said, "you know the Easter Bunny isn't real right?" I didn't know he wasn't but I acted like I did. I was depressed for the next week at least.
You have a mean grandma 😂 I'd be depressed if I found out that way too.
I'm so sorry that happened to you. It kind of stinks when this kind knowledge is dropped like a bomb on you.
That happened to me too for Santa Clause. It was horrible.
When I was a wee lad, I thought everyone in the world was kind, loving, and thoughtful. Then I went to school. I felt sad that it wasn't a perfect world. It is important to research because the further you are lead down a path, the harder it is to go back.
"Wee lad"😂. Yes, I think that is a typical realization for many little kids in wealthier countries because we are very protected, like America.
That sucks because then when someone is mean you are so shocked.
I used to believe that your blood was blue in your veins until it touched oxygen. I felt stupid when I figured it out. Like, hmmmm... RED BLOOD CELLS and your blood carries oxygen. You sound dumb when you tell people untrue facts. You should use skepticisism to help determine the true facts.
I thought the shape of your heart was actually the "heart" shape. I felt disappointment that they mislead you for so long. It's good to research so you don't get your hopes up.
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
